Insurance Alternative
This program allows eligible employees who choose not to elect LSS medical coverage to receive an additional $43.33 of compensation per month (or $21.67 per pay period). To receive this “Insurance Alternative” benefit, the benefits-eligible employee must login into Workday and waive the LSS medical insurance and provide proof that they have health insurance coverage provided through another medical plan outside of LSS, such as a spouse’s plan (excluding Medicare and Medicaid). This benefit may be elected at any time during the year and supporting documentation must be provided on an annual basis.
