FMLASource Makes Taking Leave Easier

Your health, and your family’s, comes first. Sometimes that means taking time off work to manage an illness or injury, welcome a new family member, or manage a life event. LSS has partnered with FMLASource to administer all LSS leaves of absence for LSS team members, making a challenging time easier to manage.

Beginning April 15, FMLASource will review, approve, process, and track leave requests related to all LSS leaves of absence such as FMLA, Personal Leaves of Absence (PLOA), jury duty, VESSA, USERRA, etc., providing the service and support of dedicated expert staff focused just on leaves of absence.  “They are leave of absence experts who focus on nothing but leaves of absence and are available to our staff Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.,” said Denis Thien, LSS Director of Benefits and Compensation. “Nothing is changing from the employee perspective except instead of going through HR and Workday, you’ll go through the experts at FMLASource who will be able to provide LSS staff instant support 14 hours per day.”

 If you are currently on a leave of absence and started your process with your LSS Human Resources representative, your local HR team will reach out to you to provide further information. Anyone beginning the leave of absence request process on or after April 15, however, should follow the instructions provided in this Employee Q&A here.
