Use It or Lose It: What’s your FSA Balance?
Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) can be a great way to pay for out-of-pocket health care costs tax free. But your unspent FSA dollars are lost at the end of the year. Make sure you’re on track by checking your FSA balance now.
Access your FSA information using the mobile app or log into WEX by clicking here.
You should review your year-to-date expenses now to see what remains to be spent. Identify any upcoming expenses and plan how to spend down your account. To see if an expense is eligible under your FSA use this search tool.
LSS has a grace period that allows you to spend your balance through March 15, 2025, which is 75 days following the close of the plan year. After that you forfeit any remaining balance.
Reviewing your FSA account also is a great way to determine what your expenses might be again next year as you gear up for the upcoming Annual Enrollment in November. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to enrollment time!
